PROJECT 9 RACING

Project 9 started in 2024 with a simple idea from, Hunter Jordan. When he first brought the idea to his father Johnathan, they knew it would take more than just the two of them to create a successful race team. In came Jake Tretow! As the three Brain stormed the idea for a name, history and dedication became apparent. The Tretow family number has been the number 9, going back to the old days at Slinger Speedway. With Hunter's number being 81, 8+1 equals 9, and the name was set.

Born in Race City U.S.A., Johnathan has a passion for racing but when it came to working with Hunter's Bandolero a few years ago he was hooked on the team aspect of the sport. A friendship with NASCAR driver, Josh Williams helped in the guidance of the dynamic structure of racing and mind set. In 2022 Hunter clinched the title of 2022 Southeast Bandolero Tour Champion by winning six out of ten events.

When the move to Legend Cars was made, Hunter worked with some of the best in the business. Finding the need to form Project 9 and develop a team structure that cannot only help, Hunter but other drivers in need of the team structure and support. They brought in driver TJ Moon, the 2024 Outlaw Bandolero National Champion. With the ability to build, maintain and deliver, TJ has already found victory lane as a Rookie in the Young Lions. All the while, Hunter has found victory lane as well in the Semi-Pro division, with the sights set forward in taking on the larger events with great success.
